Data deletion.
A clear way forward.
Request deletion of your personal information associated with Agastya, including information relating to a Facebook or Meta connection, if used.
How to request deletion
Send a request to your school's administration using the official email, phone number, or in-person contact channel provided by your school.
Identify your account
Provide your name, school name or code, and the email address, phone number, or username associated with your Agastya account. A parent or guardian may request deletion on behalf of a child.
Tell your school what to delete
Use the subject Agastya Data Deletion Request. Specify whether you want your account information, particular personal records, or information relating to a Facebook or Meta connection deleted. If you know the identifier associated with that connection, include it.
Verify and follow up
Your school may ask you to verify your identity or authority to act for a student. Ask the school to acknowledge your request, confirm the expected processing time, and explain the outcome. Platform-related requests can be escalated by your school administrator through the institution's existing Agastya support channel.
Start with this message
Copy this template, replace the bracketed fields, and send it to your school. This page does not submit a request or delete any data.
Before you send
What information can be deleted?
Identify the account details or personal records you want removed. Your institution will assess what can be deleted. Educational records, payment records, audit information, or other required records may need to be retained. Ask your school to explain any exceptions and how retained information is handled.
What about Facebook or Meta information?
If your use of Agastya involved a Facebook or Meta connection, mention it explicitly in the request and identify the information you want removed. Disconnecting an app or service does not itself confirm deletion of information already held by your school or Agastya.
How long does deletion take?
Ask your institution to confirm the timeframe after it verifies your request. Timing depends on the information involved and any record-keeping requirements. Use the same contact channel to request a status update and confirmation when the request has been handled.
